Lung cancer

Lung cancer is a disease characterized by an uncontrolled cell growth in tissue of lungs.most common cause are tobacco smoker~
there's major 2 types of Primary lungs cancer.
1st  : Small cell lung cancer (SCLC)
2nd : Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLS)

Types:

(A) Adenocarcinoma
= cancer of an epithelium that originatae from glandular tissue
Subtypes : Bronchioalveolar carcinoma


(B) Squamous cell lung cancer
=cancer that begins at squamous cell


(C) Large cell lung cancer
=cancer that begins at several types of large cell


Other less common types of non-small cell lung cancer are: pleomorphic, carcinoid tumor, salivary gland carcinoma, and unclassified carcinoma


SCLC
=is a type of malignant cancer that mostly arises from lung, although it can occasionally arises from GI tract,cervix and prostate.


NSCLC


Stages:

Stage I CA confined to lung

Stage II CA spread to nearby lymph nodes

Stage III CA spread to structures near lung: mediastinal lymph nodes: or to lymph nodes on the opposite side of the chest or neck

IIIA Resectable

IIIB Nonresectable

Stage IV Metastasis

Secondary Lungs tumours

aetiology : any malignancy may reach lung from lymph spread or vascular spread.

macroscopic presentation :

3 common patterns:

(a) miliary pattern ( many small neoplasm)

(b) cannonball pattern ( one large,spherical, well-dermacated neoplasm)

(c) lymphagitis carcimatosis (spread along lymphatics,white line through line instead of black lines marking lymphaticitis, usuaaly present with dyspnoea bcause of infiltration of lymphatics prevents lymphatics removal of fluids;is rapidly fatal)
