Can body function after one side of brain being removed?

This few days i was keep thinking about can the body still function if one side of the brain has being removed...
so..my hypothesis is yes.but he/she might still have some difficulties in some other thing else..
so,first of all let's look back to our anatomy and physiology ..
What is the function of brain?Left and right, what's the difference? Is there any difference in anatomical and physiological structure of left and right brain?
so...this is the few function of it..

The Right Brain

According to the left-brain, right-brain dominance theory, the right side of the brain is best at expressive and creative tasks. Some of the abilities that are popularly associated with the right side of the brain include:
  • Recognizing faces
  • Expressing emotions
  • Music
  • Reading emotions
  • Color
  • Images
  • Intuition
  • Creativity

The Left Brain

The left-side of the brain is considered to be adept at tasks that involve logic, language and analytical thinking. The left-brain is often described as being better at:
  • Language
  • Logic
  • Critical thinking
  • Numbers
  • Reasoning

then..what happen if we cut half of our brain?
THe procedure is actually call Hemispherectomy
-All hemispherectomy patients suffer at least partial hemiplegia on the side of the body opposite the removed or disabled portion, and may suffer problems with their vision as well.
-no significant long-term effects on memorypersonality, or humor after the procedure,[2] and minimal changes in cognitive function overall.
-Most patients end up with mild to severe mental retardation, which is usually already present before surgery.

but thr's other story where is corpus callosotomy,,,
wherby the corpus callosum is cut for the treatment of seizures..

Seriously this is so cool man...
How good, mysterious ,cool and beautiful is our brain..!!!
But seriously..i should stop my curiosity in brain n continue for biochem tomoro...

The following symptoms may occur after having a corpus collosotomy, although they generally go away on their own:
  • Scalp numbness
  • Nausea
  • Feeling tired or depressed
  • Headaches
  • Difficulty speaking, remembering things, or finding word

will be continue...
